NOTE: Delivery orders outside the Little Rock/North Little Rock area require a minimum of 25 persons. There will also be an additional delivery charge for orders outside the local area. Please call if you need more information before placing your order.
Due to time needed in preparing your order, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice. Please place your orders as early as possible to ensure timely processing. Please place your orders no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior. (Some hot menu items may require longer notice.) After 3:00 p.m., we cannot guarantee product selection or delivery and a Rush Fee of $25.00 may apply. Same day delivery may not be possible and we would inform you when delivery could be made. Please note that our hot food and hors d'oeuvres orders must be made 24 hours prior to your event date. Orders placed late Friday or over the weekend will not be received in our office until Monday morning. Your order is not confirmed until we have contacted you to arrange for delivery and confirm your event information.
Note: When using the CaterTrax system, you will not be able to order for same-day or next-day delivery; these orders must be phoned in. You will receive a warning notice for delivery 2 days out; you may continue to place the order, but do not consider it confirmed until you receive a confirming email or call from us. All other orders may be placed in the regular online format which includes email for tracking confirmation and changes.
We allow short notice increases to your total guest count; however, any reductions to your total guest count must be made 5 days prior to your scheduled event.
We require 48 hours advance notification of cancellation. We may be able to cancel any orders if we have not started the order. If there is cost incurred as a result of your cancellation, you may be billed for those costs and not the entire cost of the event. Please call us at 501-804-4330 to cancel an order. Do not email or fax last minute cancellations. Clients must speak directly to our catering coordinator; any messages to our restaurant staff members or on our voicemail is not a valid cancellation. Late order changes may not be fulfilled; it depends on our kitchen schedule that day. Your changes are not confirmed until we have contacted you either by an email or phone call from our event coordinator to confirm your changes.
Delivery charges for drop-off orders are $20.00 for Little Rock and North Little Rock. Delivery is available statewide for an additional charge. No service charges will apply on orders picked up by clients. We recommend clients add 1/2 hour prior to their event start time when placing their orders so our drivers will not be tardy. Most deliveries are allotted a window that ranges from 30 minutes before to 15 minutes after your scheduled arrival time. Circumstances due to traffic, bad weather, delay in entering secured office buildings and waiting for escorts, or last minute changes to the original order are beyond our control, but we'll notify clients as soon as possible. During peak lunch and dinner periods, deliveries may be made up to 1 hour prior to your designated time.
Servers or bartenders are available for $25.00 an hour for each employee, with a 4 hour minimum. Labor is estimated on the number of employees plus the number of hours required working the event. Amount of time is based on when these employees leave and return to DownHome Catering. A service fee will be added to the invoice total.
Our sales representatives at DownHome Catering can make any or all of the arrangements for items such as china, silver, tables, linens, chairs, etc. that are necessary for your event. An equipment price list is available upon request. Client will be responsible for any damages or loss of silver serving pieces or equipment used. High quality disposables such as plates, forks, napkins, cups, trays, etc. are also available.
Ordering from DownHome Catering is both easy and secure. When you place an order, you can feel confident that your credit card information is protected by our secured server.
Our online ordering servers are hosted by CaterTrax, which has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. We use encryption technology to protect your sensitive personal information stored on our servers and while being transmitted over the Internet. Your information is always stored in this fashion and is never transferred without encryption.
A deposit is required for each event. This deposit confirms your reservation and guarantees you our services on that date. We do our best to accommodate all requests if time and date permit. We realize that some events happen without much time for planning, which may not allow for deposits to be made.
Full payment is required on or before the completion of the event. There is a $25.00 late fee with 10% finance charge for all past due invoices. We accept cash, cashiers check, personal/company check or major credit cards. There is a convenience fee for use of all credit cards. Gratuities are not required and are not automatically added to your invoice but they are graciously accepted by our staff.
Client's responsibility is to ensure that the table for setup and any flammable items including our decor material is protected from the heat source of our chafers. If our staff is not hired to be present at client's event, client will be responsible for the unattended chafing dishes and all of DownHome's equipment. DownHome Catering does not assume or accept responsibility due to negligence by the client or any attendees of the client's event that caused aany damage as a result. Missing or damaged equipment, decor, place setting, centerpieces, linens, serving utensils, salad bowl will be billed at replacement cost to client. It's the responsibility of the client to ensure that all of DownHome's catering properties are present when the driver arrives to pick up. Any item(s) not picked up may incur additional charges if the driver has to make an additional trip to client's location to retrieve the item(s). Equipment/items that are not picked up on the same day required the same responsibility of the client to ensure that equipment/items are not lost or missing.
